Once, in the Bulgarian port of Varna, I was drawn into an unseemly brawl with a gang of surly sailors.
I owe my deliverance to three fiery Hungarian girls who took my side in the quarrel. I think I can say that our little quartet gave a good account of itself as we sent the brigands tumbling into the night.
I wrote this musical interpretation of the affray using the Hungarian minor scale in honour of the girls who rescued me.
